POSCON builds cloud-based digital twins of real-world air traffic control systems. Designed to help aviation training programs, governing authorities, and ATC students enhance their training — it can also be used by enthusiasts to experience authentic high-fidelity ATC simulation (either as a pilot or a controller) from the comfort of their home.
At its core, the product is a high-fidelity air traffic control training software suite — but its much more than just that.
Great ATC training software requires a sky full of airplanes. This can be challenging to achieve if relying on flight simulator pilots or remote pilot operators (RPOs) alone — so we don't. POSCON adds controllable drones to the airspace in addition other sources of traffic. Here is the unique way POSCON handles our drones traffic:
The cost to train an air traffic controller is high — as is the washout rate at government ATC training facilities. A major driving factor is that traditional, physical radar simulation labs are incredibly expensive, making lab time scarce for students so they fail to receive the additional hands-on experience that they need to be sucessful.
POSCON modernizes this pipeline. By taking high-fidelity ERAM and STARS radar simulation out of the training labs and putting it entirely in the cloud, we make professional-grade training accessible anywhere and students aren't just the ones that benefit! Real-world aviators can sharpen their skills and buid unique situational awareness from the controller's side of the scope.
Forget massive, multi-gigabyte software installations that bog down your operating system. POSCON leverages a modern, secure desktop framework to deliver a native application with a micro-footprint. This means safe, lightweight executables that deploy instantly without triggering enterprise IT firewall blocks or requiring heavy hardware upgrades. Our local software is a tiny, lightning-fast download that can easily boot up instantly on a laptop, offering native desktop responsiveness without the resource drag.
We replaced legacy simulation network tech with high-speed, memory-optimized cloud infrastructure to deliver lightning-fast data pipelines and sub-millisecond voice processing. This means we can deliver the operational pacing and data accuracy expected of real-world systems. In addition, we can provide crystal-clear radio communications, realistic frequency degradation, and smooth, lag-free radar target updates without the "rubber-banding" aircraft common on older networks.
POSCON is built to scale seamlessly, offering flexible deployment models depending on whether you need a massive community network or an isolated training space. We can provide access dedicated, single-tenant environments where you can run custom, scripted scenarios, control variables, and securely evaluate student performance. Or you can tap into a multi-tenant community network to interact with real-world aviators and highly rated enthusiasts in a dynamic, living airspace.
Unlike platforms that string together mismatched third-party add-ons, POSCON was built entirely from the ground up as a unified aviation ecosystem. Educational institutions can rely on stable, proprietary software designed to stay perfectly synchronized across radar displays, flight data tools, and voice switchboards. Enjoy a seamless plug-and-play experience. Our custom infrastructure directly drives realistic drone traffic right out of the box.
POSCON's suite of en route, terminal, and pilot software — everything you need in one ecosystem.
A comprehensive simulation of the USA domestic en route air traffic control system — a digital twin of the FAA's ERAM tested by industry professionals.
Web-based decision support tooling that works hand-in-hand with ERAM for flight data management.
Forget clunky Discord channels. This simulates the actual touch-screen radio panels used in real facilities. Manage your frequencies, override landlines to talk to adjacent sectors, and experience true-to-life radio degradation.
Current ARTCCs supported by POSCON software — including Kansas City (free), Fort Worth, and Memphis Centers.
The terminal radar screen used to handle busy arrivals and departures. Vector aircraft onto the localizer, manage the tight sequencing inside the shelf, and execute seamless handoffs to the tower.
Forget clunky Discord channels. This simulates the actual touch-screen radio panels used in real facilities. Manage your frequencies, override landlines to talk to adjacent sectors, and experience true-to-life radio degradation.
Fly on POSCON's advanced simulation of the National Airspace System alongside live traffic.
Hear drone traffic in airspace that isn't being actively controlled by live POSCON ATC — an optional audio layer that fills out the radio environment for a more immersive, realistic flight.
Built for individuals, institutions, and enterprises alike.
Give your students access to high-fidelity ERAM and STARS environments from a tiny light-weight desktop app. Supplement your physical simulation labs with a cost-effective, cloud-based platform for homework, practice, and skill evaluation.
Don't let lab hours limit your training. Practice with real-time live traffic or scripted scenarios. Build muscle memory on authentic digital twins of FAA software, and study sector layouts on your own schedule to guarantee your success.
Spend your downtime experiencing the other side of the mic. Pull up a live radar scope from a crashpad or hotel room, run a sector, and get a completely new perspective and situational awareness on the National Airspace System.
Aviation enthusiasts and flight simmers can experience true-to-life air traffic control from home — follow live traffic, rehearse real-world phraseology and procedures, and build genuine controller skills in the very environment professionals train on.
POSCON access is sold in the form of licenses — one yearly payment covers your full software access for the year.
For individual users practicing or exploring radar operations outside of an institutional setting (i.e. this for personal use only). The launch price will be available for a limited time while slots last.
For individual users of flight simulator products outside of an institutional setting (i.e. this for personal use only). Free users are required to pass an entrance evaluation and must maintain basic competency on the type of flight operations being conducted on POSCON.
Tailored for groups using POSCON for commercial purposes, such as providing professional training services. Authorized user count, facilities, and pricing are customized to fit your needs.
Credits are POSCON's virtual currency. At launch, the main way to spend them is to gift annual-license time to other POSCON members — an easy way to keep friends and squadron-mates flying. Credits aren't an annual license themselves; they're a balance you buy once and spend as you go, with more ways to use them rolling out after launch.
High-fidelity radar simulation requires dedicated, memory-optimized cloud architecture to ensure zero voice lag and perfect target tracking. By utilizing a flat annual license, we guarantee 365 days of uninterrupted server access, unlimited simulation hours, and continuous software updates for less than the cost of a single collegiate textbook.

Your license grants access to the enroute center facilities currently available on POSCON along with their associated approach facilities. Currently this includes New York ARTCC (ZNY), Washington ARTCC (ZDC), and Boston ARTCC (ZBW). As we add more centers, we'll let you know how reconfiguration works.

No, but you can access demo versions of our software in the Software Components section of this web page.
Drone Audio Integration is an optional add-on for pilots and stacks on top of the free Pilot Free Pass. It's billed separately and doesn't require an ATC Individual License to use.

If you cancel your license within 48 hours of the initial purchase or renewal, then you will be refunded 100% of the value. If you cancel your license between 2-7 days of inital purchase or renewal, then you will be refunded 50% of the value. If you fail to cancel after 7 days, then no refund will be issued.
